Introducing the PPG Smoke "Wingtip" Strobe System. This three light system is FAR 103 compliant and is designed to be functional & of course - fun! This is the same strobe as our stand alone strobe and to activate you simply sync them together, and enjoy 3 syncronized lights flashing as you please. Commonly pilots place one light in each wingtip, and one on their helmet or paramotor. These strobes are equipped with 8 LED lights and each strobe emits 2080 lumens. The strobes are designed with 4 LED lights on each side for a full 360 degree flash.
The strobe system is simple: sync the 3 strobes up together, place the two "slave" strobes in each wingtip, and once you power on the "master" strobe they will all begin flashing. Commonly pilots will turn on and place the slave strobes in the wingtips prior to launch, and power on the master strobe at dusk. We recommend placing the master strobe in an easy to reach location, either using our 3m adhesive for your helmet, or our unique strobe mount for your main frame. Once you power on the master strobe, all three strobes will begin flashing. Without the master strobe being on, the two slave strobes with be waiting in standby mode. Our strobes have a 20 hour battery life in the standby mode and a 2 hour battery life when flashing. These means the slave strobes can be in standby for long periods of time without worry about battery life.
We packed our previous strobe technology into a redesigned system. New self healing wireless synchronization gives pilots 2-3x the range, underpinned by a RF laboratory improved PCBA based antenna. Energy density is supplied by a small lithium polymer battery with 2x circuit voltage protection. The onboard battery BMS and the charging IC are both designed to keep safety first. The small 54x54x24mm form factor paramotor strobe system includes one master strobe and two wingtip strobes. It’s 2x as bright, 57% smaller and 64% lighter than our previous design.
